This was a formative assessment that I created for our first graders during our unit on Basic Needs of All Living Things. Students could use pictures and/or words to share their learning. This could also be used as a summative assessment.

This week we started working on ORDINAL NUMBERS in math. Earlier in the year, I wanted to see what my students know about ORDINAL NUMBERS. I was surprised that very few of them had much knowledge of them. I have created this poster to show the

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This is my 13th year of teaching, all in the same building. I have taught a variety of grade levels since I have been there. I also taught overseas at in English speaking pre-school.

MY TEACHING STYLE

With all of the technology out there today, my teaching has definitely changed. It is hard to keep up with it all! I like to provide my students with a lot of variety in their day to hold they interest and keep them moving. I employ many instructional strategies to meet their needs, while still making sure that I am teaching the skills and standards they need to learn to be successful in successive grades. I love to turn the music on during work times.
