I am a second year high school English teacher in Baltimore City Public Schools. I'm still figuring this all out, but I think I've come up with a few good ideas along the way! Additionally, I teach elementary school art during my summers, so as I grow my store you may find those kinds of products as well. Finally, if you could describe your self as picky, OCD, or perhaps even completely anal about the neatness and design of your classroom materials, I'm your girl. You will find only careful, clean, attractive, well-formatted, modifiable, and typo-less products in my store. Enjoy!
Discussion-based; relaxed; flexible; and always working towards a deep understanding of the text, not just the skills required for standardized testing.
Passed first year of BCTR with all developing/proficient ratings; was asked to participate in video observations of high-scoring second-year residents.
University of Miami, Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Studio Art, May 2012. Baltimore City Teaching Residency, Resident Teacher, 2012-2014.
I teach reading and writing because I love reading and writing. But, I also love screenprinting, watercolors, knitting, cooking, eating, watching TV shows about vampires and that kind of crap, going running after doing those things for too long, and reading and reading and reading and reading. Oh, and teaching. And after I do all that for a good long time, one day I want to write and illustrate children's books.
