I’ve taught students between the ages of three and six in various classroom settings, including public schools, private schools, and Head Start programs, since 2001.
I try to plan lessons that allow my students to solve problems independently. I give them the tools they need to be successful, and then allow them to work through the task. Ultimately, I want my students to be able to self-evaluate their learning and develop a growth mindset.
For me, each day brings new "shining teachers moments." It's amazing to see how much my students learn and grow in the short amount of time I have with them!
I have an AAS in Child Development, a BA in Elementary Education, and a MS in Curriculum and Instruction.
