TEACHING EXPERIENCE

6 years total in elementary school: 1 as a teacher's assistant 4 as a computer lab manager 1 as a STEM lab manager

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to give students the freedom to make mistakes, and to encourage enough self-checking to realize when a mistake has been made. I insist to my students that it's okay to make mistakes and important to admit to yourself and others when you have, but that you have to keep trying.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

B.S. in psychology from the University of Central Florida

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I absolutely love escape rooms, and I try to bring escape room concepts into my classroom to encourage engaged learning and practice. I find that occasionally switching things up and having my students work together with their entire class on a common goal has helped them to work together more effectively in small groups.
