TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hello! I have been teaching and designing instructional English materials since 2008 in both the United States and throughout Asia. I am a content and curriculum designer, with a majority of my materials geared towards English Language Arts and English as a Second Language, or ESL. I also work with a lot of learners in the social/emotional support area and design resources for this area as well. I write all the content on my shop myself, designing everything from scratch, including all of the artwork, logo, vectors, videos, and advertising (unless otherwise indicated).

MY TEACHING STYLE

Teacher of the Year (Daejeon, South Korea, 2008,2009)

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated with a degree in Fine Arts in 2008 and later went back to school to earn my Masters degree in Education. I have CELTA and TESOL certifications, and have trained in SIOP instructional methodologies and Theories of Knowledge (TOK) for IB. I have presented my work at numerous venues and conferences throughout the region. I do extra course work in developmental psychology, marketing, law, and various elements of design, including animation and videography.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

All ESL Lifeline’s resources and materials, including art and design, are created by me personally to give teachers more pronounced quality materials, and to provide students with engaging experiences that promote real-life language exchanges and deeper thought. Currently, I am working as a middle school principal for an international school in Southeast Asia. I primarily work with students whose first language is other than English in all domain areas. Learning is my passion and helping others to learn is my life.
