I have been involved in professional education positions post bachelor degree since 2009, and have specialized in ESL/EFL instruction since 2010. My work has taken me abroad, which allowed me the opportunity to teach at Universitaet Heidelberg and in language schools in Germany for over 2 years. Since returning to the US, I have worked in Intensive English Language Programs at the University level, as well as, in K-12 International academies. I see a need for ESL-specific material, primarily in secondary, college, and adult education. I continue to stay educated on ESL trends, earning a TESOL certificate, and regularly participating in TESOL conferences.
Teaching English as a Foreign Language is an ever growing field, but there is a need for reliable lesson and supplemental material to meet the needs of varied skill levels in the classroom. I aim to establish clear goals, guidelines, and expectations for ELLs, and create resources that better assess student learning outcomes.
