I have taught High School Spanish 1 for the past 6 years to 8th grade students (Realidades Curriculum). I have taught Intro to Spanish (pre level 1) to 8th grade students for 3 years (SOMOS + Novels w/ CI/TPRS). Last year, I was a district model teacher in the 'Innovator' category. and I hosted a student teacher. This year (2020-2021 I am transitioning to a new district and will be teaching 6th, 7th, & 8th grade students on a trimester basis. Most of my classes will be beginners though a few sections will be students in our Dual Language program. I will also be fully teaching online for the first time (not counting spring 2020) for at least first trimester.
I love to get students up, moving, and connecting together through games. I love using music in the classroom as well. My goal this year is to continue incorporating more Comprehensible Input and TPRS strategies into my teaching and I plan to start posting more activities that teach using this methodology as I start creating new materials for my classes.

My name is Amy T. I currently live in Lake Zurich, IL with my dog, Finn. I teach 6th, 7th, & 8th grade Spanish students and I love working with them! Thank you for supporting my small business. Most of the money earned from TPT goes directly back into purchasing resources and materials for my students- so by supporting me here, you are supporting my students. If you ever have any questions, feel like I have made a mistake, or there is a problem with a resource, please do not hesitate to message me through TPT. I love to connect and collaborate with other teachers in Spanish teaching groups on Facebook, on Instagram (@amytristano), and on Twitter (@srtatristano). I would love to collaborate with you there! -Srta. T
