MY TEACHING STYLE

My philosophy of education is deeply rooted in culturally responsive pedagogy, pedagogy of the oppressed, and hip hop based education. Teaching style and strategies incorporate creative arts and mixed media on a regular basis. Lessons and unit plans are created based on the concept of universal design for learning. Throughout lessons, students are engaged and curious; exploring literature and expository texts is both a fun and constructive process.
