I taught 8-12th grade math for two years. I taught some individual college and graduate level courses (math and education) part-time. After being home with my babies/preschoolers for 10 years, I was ready to look for a job teaching math methods to prospective teachers. I decided, if I wanted to be telling elementary teachers how to teach, I should have some experience at that level myself. My plan was to do that for only a couple of years, but I fell in love with the little kids and stayed with that level (mostly K-2) for the rest of my teaching years.
Hands-on, modified Montessori style.
Phi Beta Kappa. My Inchimals won a Teachers' Choice Award, a NAPPA award, and a Creative Child award. My Aba-Conundrums won a Parents' Choice Award and a Creative Child award.
