I started teaching in Miami, Florida at Arcola Lake Elementary. For three years I enjoyed working with students of various backgrounds. Then I moved to Maryland and began teaching in the District of Columbia at Moten Elementary School. Here I learned the importance of meeting students at their needs and enhancing learning through eclectic strategies and rigorous content. Currently I am teaching at Cora L. Rice Elementary school in Prince George's County, MD.
Growing up as an army brat, I was afforded the opportunity to move around to different places and get to know the differences in people. I appreciate how diverse we are in this country and how similar we are too. It is my purpose to educate children the multiculturalism, multiple intelligences and perseverance.
