It is my 10th year teaching and working with students in both public school and NPS settings. Currently I teach at Middle School Autism program, Redwood City, CA. Some of the evidence based practices that I utilize in the classroom are: TEACCH, PECS, ABA, and video modeling and technology aided teaching methods. I am also a big fan of SCERTS model as a comprehensive teaching approach for children with autism.
My program is heavily focusing on students' Independence, social communication, functional academics, life skills, and pre-vocational skills. I like to help students mainstream into general education classes as a part of their school day. For younger students, play/reading buddy (with peers) is promoted within the program.
