Hello! I'm Jennifer of everything just so. I've spent over 20 years in the field of education with most of my teaching experience in third and sixth grades.

I am a big believer in balanced literacy and follow the workshop approach for reading and writing. I try to limit whole group instruction and allow students to experience learning individually and in small groups. In lesson and unit planning, I follow a backward design approach using the Understanding by Design method.

Ed. in Elementary Education • M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction with Literacy focus and additional reading endorsement • Trained in the Orton Gillingham approach • Trained in the workshop approach for reading and writing at Teachers College Reading and Writing Project, Columbia University
