I have several years of experience working with students with special needs, especially behavioral problems. I have taught 1st-3rd grade, special and general education, while I was in college. Once graduating from Eastern Michigan University, I taught in a self-contained classroom for students with emotional impairments in a middle school. This past year, I taught Kindergarten for 2 months and then got moved into a Resource room for grades 2-4.
I believe that students learn best by being engaged and teaching others what they learn. I love technology because I believe it is an important key in education in this generation.
Yet to be added
I have always loved writing and reading. I did not like math when I was younger but through my education in college, I have found fun in it and teaching it. I have a associates degree in applied science(Human Services). I also have a bachelors degree in Special Education with a focus on Emotional Impairments- K-12 and Elementary Education. I am also certified in teaching Language Arts- 5-9 in a self-contained classroom.
I love animals and music. I enjoy being creative and finding ways to incorporate things the students like in their learning. In my spare time I read articles from Edutopia and teacher's blogs. I love learning about what other teachers are doing in there classroom. :-) Check out my webpage at missbsees.weebly.com
