I have spent over 10 years teaching middle school science and am now an instructional coach.
Students learn best when they are hands on! I believe the teachers should be facilitators to student learning students learn through inquiry and exploration. Its my job to give students all the resources they need to be successful!
Campus Teacher of the Year District Teacher of the Year 2014 Region IV Teacher of the Year Finalist
I was so fortunate to have amazing teachers. I never grew up thinking that I would be a teacher, but education is something that I am passionate about, and believe that teaching is what I am supposed to do!
I am a huge supporter of collaborative learning and teaching students 21st century skills. I believe that every student is uniquely capable and that teaching should be differentiated to meet the needs of every student. I have been trained as a coach in the Schlechty model, Project Based Learning and Capturing Kids Hearts, and believe that design and relationships are key for student success.
