I am about to begin my fourth year teaching! My first year was a great learning experience teaching both 6th and 8th grade science, without out any curriculum or scope and sequence. My second year went much smoother, in a new district, and teaching 6th grade science only. I am looking forward to what this year brings.
I teach based on the learning styles of my students. I use lecture, small group, and individual instruction strategies. I try to incorporate techniques that appeal to all types of learners.
Montgomery Education Foundation - Galaxies at Our Fingertips Grant My dept chair and I wrote a grant proposal for 10 Galaxy tablets for the Science department.
I grew up and went to school in a small town that is not so small anymore! Went to college, quit college and went back again several times trying to juggle being a wife, mom, and student. I finally finished my Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in 4-8 grade Math and Science in May 2013. On August 8, 2015 I graduate with a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction with a minor in Instructional Technology!
I love helping people in any way I possibly can! I am also a Beachbody Coach. Eating healthy and daily exercise will increase your energy and help anyone feel better mentally and physically.
