TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught 4th and 5th grade. This is my third year teaching and I thoroughly enjoy it. I have served on my school district's Common Core Writing and English Language Arts teams. Serving on these teams has aided in my understanding of the Common Core State Standards.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love to see my class involved and up and moving around the room. My students stay engaged through constant collaboration.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

While in college, I received several merit based scholarships to aid in my dream of becoming a teacher.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from Appalachian State University in 2011 with a degree in Elementary Education.

I live in North Carolina and I am happily married to husband, Ryan.
