I am a teacher of 16 years in New York City. I have taught Pre-k, Kinder, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. I have also spent some time as an Early Childhood Instructional Coordinator for the NYC schools.
I believe that children (and people) learn by doing. I think that children should be immersed in what they are learning about and should be active participants in choosing where their lessons go. I thinks hands-on learning is the way to learn.
