I have to grade 60 writing assignments, send out another reminder about that due date, rework my lesson plans, make sure I have all of my materials ready, and maybe, if I'm feeling a little spicy, I'll take a nap.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

During my student teaching, I worked with 8th graders at the middle school level and 9th and 11th grade students at the high school level. While at Mount St. Mary's University, I was a student leader in the Office of Social Justice, through which I led Service Learning trips and developed a Service Learning curriculum for a semester abroad. This is my first year teaching! I am beyond excited to be working with 7th Grade students in English and Language Arts.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love to engage in student-centered and experiential learning. When students learn from their environment and their peers, they become more reflective, collaborative, and well-rounded community members. My materials and lessons are often based on group work and peer development!
