TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught for 7 years as a gifted education teacher, in elementary for 4 (grades 3-5) and middle school for 3. Currently I am an Assistant Principal at a project-based elementary school. Previously I coordinated a gifted and talented program in a large school district. I have experience designing project-based curriculum, resources for teachers to differentiate for high ability learners, and creating materials for professional development and pedagogy.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is much like my leadership style. I like to set high expectations for students and staff and equip them with what they need to reach these expectations. From that point I act as the guide on the side, helping when it is needed, pushing students and teachers to think more critically and creatively, and setting up the structure for them to be successful.
