TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Jo Meserve Mach is an Occupational Therapist. Her 35 years of therapy experience include 17 years of working in Early Intervention. Vera Lynne Stroup-Rentier is an Education Program Consultant. She has 25 years of experience teaching within the field of Special Education. Mary Birdsell is a freelance photographer. MY TEACHING STYLE

Jo, Vera and Mary believe that children can learn actively within everyday life experiences. They have combined their work experiences and background to create books which show how children learn and gain skills needed for self-determination. These skills include engagement, self awareness, making choices, problem solving, self regulation and self advocacy. Finding My Way Books share true stories of children gaining skills they need to become adults who live self determined lives.
