TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching since 2008 in the Virginia Public School System. I have worked primarily with low income and military families. I love teaching and love to be organized. Anything I can do to make the school day run smoother helps. The games I've created are great for centers. I use them so that students can practice the things I've taught on their own.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love to use technology. I also love to do any activities where the students can problem solve on their own. I love it when students are able to discover new things on their own. The pride they have in themselves is priceless.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

During the 2013-2014 School year I was a nominee for teacher of the year.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I attended Christopher Newport University where I got my BA in Early Childhood Psychology. I also received my teaching license through CNU.

I have been happily married since 2009 and we welcomed our first child in Oct. 2013.
