When introducing Daily 5 to my students, I make sure to implement one center per day. Instead of endless anchor charts, I decided to create a presentation that I can use to help my students understand the expectations of each choice. We often refer back to this presentation to review their role at each station. Do your students interrupt your small group center with the statement "This book has a ripped page"? My students would find the most inappropriate times to inform me of a book that is in need of repair. I created this book hospital sign that I will attach to a basket and leave near the reading nook. My students will be able to leave all books needing some TLC in the basket and I will take care of them when I have the time. I hope you find this sign helpful :)
