TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Christy & Tammy have been teaching first grade for 17 years, the past 13 together sharing a classroom under a job share. Though they began this journey as strangers, they have found a teaching partnership and friendship that they never anticipated. They have served on multiple curriculum development committees, served as President of their school's PFA, and have served as mentor teachers, ELD coaches, Math Intervention Specialists and Literacy Coaches in their district. They literally share a brain and cannot imagine teaching a single day without one another!

MY TEACHING STYLE

Each day is a new adventure in our classroom. When kids enter our classroom, they are ready to learn, grow and have a lot of fun along the way. We are always implementing creative strategies that engage our students while fostering a lifelong love of learning. We are a community of learners with different needs and unique styles. Our style reflects the whole child, multi-sensory approach to learning which empowers each student to reach their full potential while beginning to take greater responsibility for their own learning along the way.
