I am a third year teacher who is passionate about engaging my students in relevant and fun activities that stretch across content areas.
I look to create activities for my students that encourage their creativity and deepen their understanding. I want students to collaborate with each other and push each other's understanding. Students are constantly reading and writing across content areas and are involved in higher level thinking and problem solving.

I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a specialization in Spanish from Indiana University. After student teaching in both Indiana and Spain, I began my first teaching job in my hometown in Illinois. I have since finished my ESL and Bilingual Endorsement and will complete my Curriculum and Instruction Master's from National Louis University within the year.
I am incredibly passionate about teaching and knew I was going to be a teacher ever since I was in third grade and had the most incredible mentor showing me what good teaching looked like. Every day I strive to be better, to do more, and to teach my students as much as possible.
