TEACHING EXPERIENCE

First year teacher! I was lucky enough to get a job starting the September after I got my certification. I am currently at a private school where I teach 5th grade religion, and 5th, 6th, 7th, & 8th grade social studies.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love using a variety of resources and activity styles - always mixing it up for my students. In any given week, we will take notes from the board, read primary and secondary sources, work in groups for stations activities, watch videos relative to our topics and work on ChromeBooks doing web research. Having something different every day or two really keeps the students engaged, and reaches all different types of learners.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I work so my dog Lincoln (named after the one and only Abe!) can have a good life! It's just an added bonus that I love what I do, and I want to share good materials that have worked well for me - why reinvent the wheel when someone has already made it work?
