TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have over 10 years of experience in the Florida classroom, mostly with middle school Language Arts and high school French. Half of my career was spent at charter schools, so I know the unique challenges those teachers may face. Now, I teach at a public MYP/IB school, and many of my lessons are designed with an MYP/IB/advanced curriculum in mind. My husband is a History and Psychology teacher (at the same school!) and my store now includes many of his useful creations as well. Check out his neat projects and his PowerPoints- they are works of art!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like making kids think! I create my own lessons because I believe they are better than what is supplied to me by the school or the textbook company. I try to offer kids engaging lessons that ask them to use higher order thinking skills while interacting with their classmates or the world around them.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

MYP/IB trained certified in Language A and B. Comite Executif - Le Congres de la Culture Francaise en Floride

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Dickinson College - B.A. English, Dickinson College - B.A. French, Universite de Toulouse Le Mirail (courses in French, Art, Religion), USF (courses in education), First Coast Technical College (early childhood education cert.)

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I love reading and teaching novels! I love teaching grammar! I love teaching French! In addition to teaching, I care for my two young children. I paint, craft, bake, and love to travel.
