I have substituted and tutored for all grade-school levels and taught at the university level. Eleven years ago, I began to work from home and unschool my children. This past summer, I went back to work, this time as a training specialist at a public library, and my husband stays home with our children.
I believe self-directed education is the most efficient and the most effective form of education. I design my products with self-motivated learners and their facilitators in mind.
I was awarded a full-paid academic scholarship to Louisiana State University-Shreveport for undergraduate work, and I earned various other smaller scholarships while completing my bachelor's degree. While at LSUS, I was inducted into a freshman honor society and later into a language honor society.
In 1996, I graduated from Kingston Christian Academy and began attending Louisiana State University-Shreveport. I was a work-study student at LSUS for four years while earning a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with a minor in International Studies. I went on to work for Arkansas State University for six years and was awarded a Master of Business Administration there in 2006. In 2013, I received an Advanced Certificate in Life Coaching from Light University Online.
My husband and I have been happily married for 12 years and have three delightful daughters, ages 11, 7, and 4. I invite you to follow our adventures or contact me via Facebook or Instagram. You can also email me at fredonnawalker at hotmail dot com.
