I have been teaching middle school Humanities for 10 years. I spent 2 years at a Paulo Freire school and 8 years at a performing arts school teaching a social justice-oriented humanities course. I am also the faculty adviser for PeaceJam, active on the diversity committee, and a Mentor Teacher.
My philosophy of education is grounded in democratic, project-based and authentic learning which engages young people in searching for solutions to social problems.
