I have been a school-based speech-language pathologist for 15 years.
Let's play, baby! I'm all about letting students, especially the younger ones, guide their own therapy sessions, typically by pursuing structured play scenarios. I believe that children learn best when activities are engaging and relevant. I'm constantly looking for lessons that will give me the most bang for my buck (i.e. teaching prefixes/suffixes in order to open up a world of new vocabulary terms) or will help my guys be successful while tackling the expectations of the Common Core. I have a passion for working with students on their social skills. My other areas of interest include comprehension and vocabulary development.

Love of language + love of talking + love of children=Speech-Language Pathologist! I'm a speech-language pathologist based in an elementary school. I work with children from 3 years to 5th grade. I adore my job, especially watching my students' faces light up when I utilize fun, motivating materials that help them "get it!"
