Highest performing teacher on my grade level every year since my first year. I started with extensive experience subbing in over 15 inner city Atlanta schools collecting a wealth of knowledge in what types of classroom environments and teaching strategies worked and which didn't. My full time teaching experience (since 2001) is in a well funded suburban metro county (opposite type of environment from inner city, but not as much as you might think). Primarily a kindergarten teacher, with exp teaching 1st Grade and 5th grade also.
Not like anyone else's. A true individualized instructor if there ever was such a thing. HUGE on teachable moments (which inexperienced principals don't like)! My personal individualized reading program that I have developed and tweaked over the years is my rock. It's the foundation that has caused my kids to excel in every other subject area. My class has outperformed every other class on my grade level every single year I have ever taught starting with my first year.
My students have the highest standardized test scores on my grade level (this school system has over 160,000 students and over 130 schools - that equals huge schools and huge grade levels) every year, year after year after year. My kids rank highest in computer scores, reading scores, math scores, reading levels, number of books read, etc. My last year, my class was the only class to have 100% of its students pass all three areas of the CRCT (Georgia's state wide standardized test). No, I don't teach the gifted class, and we do not ability group our kids out into low, middle, and high performers with me teaching some "high" class every year. Each class is averaged out for academics and behavior, and then randomly assigned a teacher name.

Please forgive me, but I am a very private person. I do not like to see myself or my children come up when our names are googled. It is quite painstaking, but I have been very successful at keeping our family life private from snooping eyes. This is the only reason I do not identify myself on here. I am happy to talk teaching however. If you new teachers have any questions, I will be happy to talk to you even by phone. Email me here at this website and I will respond as soon as I check the site. If you want me to call you, give me a phone number to call, and I will call you and answer your questions (for free!) :) And the profile is my actual wife reading to our actual daughter. (she reads to us now) :)
