TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Adjunct Instructor, Forsyth Tech Community College 1998-2012 Taught, Directed, choreographed and costumed many, many shows for private schools, professional theatre, community theatre, summer camps, color guard and county fairs.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Cheri has been the Education Director at Twin City Stage since 2013 and has been teaching drama classes for the theatre since 1998. She actually holds a BS degree in Medical Technology from UNC but has been onstage since the age of 12, when she appeared as a member of the children’s chorus in the ECU Playhouse production of La Boheme. Cheri has been featured in dozens of radio and television commercials. She has directed, choreographed and costumed many shows like West Side Story, The Outsiders, Romeo & Juliet, Finding Nemo, The Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Grease, Footloose, Pippin and Rent to name a few. And she has more than 50 onstage and movie roles to her credit. Cheri has countless years of experience in teaching, administration, operations, fundraising and grant-writing for many arts-based non-profits. Cheri has also written many plays and her own adaptations of Romeo & Juliet and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe were performed at Twin City Stage this past season.
