I am an Assistant Professor of English at a large community college. I teach dual enrollment courses as well. In the past, I have taught 7-12 ELA with a focus on teaching in inclusion settings as well as in a dedicated special education school. I have an MA in English Literature and over 20 graduate credit hours in education and counseling. I am currently in a PhD program for curriculum and instruction with an educational technology focus.
I like to be as creative as possible. My goal is to get students excited about learning which at times is easier said than done. I find hands on and whole class activities are a great way to keep students engaged. But, I also believe in high standards, and preparing my students for college and career as much as possible.
