TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught preschool for 15 years with a degree in early childhood. I then went back to school and got my elementary education degree. I have been teaching first grade for 8 years now and I LOVE it!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in positive reinforcement and the gradual release of responsibility. I also believe students will rise up to our expectations so I keep expectations high for all my students. I am fun but firm. I also like variety. Each student learns differently so I like to approach the lessons/concepts in multiple ways to reach all of my students.
