TEACHING EXPERIENCE

My teaching career began in seventh grade language arts in 2004. This is my sixth year teaching eighth grade language arts, and I'm loving it!!!! (most days)

MY TEACHING STYLE

I will teach, lecture, drill, scream, whisper, sing, dance, and stand on my head if that's what it takes to get my students' attention and get them to LEARN!!!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

In 2010 I was chosen as Surgoinsville Middle School's Teacher of the Year. Furthermore, I was chosen as the 2010 Hawkins County Schools' Middle School Teacher of the Year. What a surprise and an honor!!!

I have a bachelor's degree in business from East Tennessee State University. I have a master's degree in education from East Tennessee State University.

I am happily married to my high school sweetheart and the mother of two wonderful sons. I am now a granny!!!! I have two beautiful, healthy grandsons named Jonah and Jude. I am blessed!!!!!
