I have been teaching 4th grade for 9 years now. Before that I taught middle school math for 4 years. I also taught basic skills and a year in 2nd grade.
Each year I start off fresh. I never know what my students needs will be or what will be the most effective way to teach the children. I am always trying new ideas and philosophies to better assist my students so they can be successful!

I graduated college with a double major in Elementary Education and Sociology. My masters is in teaching mathematics. I continue to take grad classes to keep up to date with new ideas.
I am very busy raising 3 wonderful wild children. I love using task cards in the classroom I use them in centers, as worksheets, or as an interactive lesson on the smart board. Sometimes I scatter them outside on a nice day and use it as a scavenger hunt. Most of my task cards use QR scans. I think this is a great way for children to check their work.
