In May 2018, I finished my 28th year of my teaching journey! I taught first grade for the past 13 years and absolutely loved it. I am now taking some much needed time away from the classroom, to bring to y'all many of the fabulous resources I've had in practice in my classroom for the past few years. I am enjoying spending lots of time with my grandchildren and creating quality teaching resources for you!
I worked hard to make learning fun for my students while I planned carefully to meet their varying needs. I did this through small group instruction and hands-on learning.
I was the 2009-2010 Teacher of the Year at Blandford Elementary School in Effingham County Georgia.
I earned my BA in Early Childhood Education in 1989. In 1999 I earned my MS in Curriculum and Instruction. I also earned my Gifted Education endorsement which allowed me to work with advanced first grade students.
I have two daughters (29 and 25) and four grandchildren; Lily is 10, Christopher is 4, Athena is 2, and baby Noah is 1. In my free time, my husband Craig and I love to cruise, camp, and head out on motorcycle adventures.
