TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Algebra 1 Part 1 and Algebra, Functions and Data Analysis. I've also been tutoring for 5+ years for college math and upper high school math. I also have experience teaching ESL students.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love for my notes to be organized and scaffolded, so students feel ready to tackle the hard problems when they get to them instead of being scared away. I try to use fun review games like MATHO, jeopardy, and other powerpoint/smartboard games to get students excited about the material! Task cards in the classroom is also a must! There are a million uses for them and they help break up the monotony of worksheets! I believe that my enthusiasm for math will motivate my students to succeed and begin to like math a little bit more in my classroom.
