This is my eleventh year teaching in an inner city elementary school. I began my teaching career in fourth grade. I was there for four years before moving to first for three years. I'm now back in 4th grade science! I am proud to say that I was 'Slide Certified' at the Ron Clark Academy in 2010! That was such an amazing experience. I absolutely love teaching! I can honestly say that I enjoy what I do which I believe is a blessing. **'Foxy' is my nickname at school. My last name is Fox. This isn't like a 'sexy teacher' type thing! LOL!
Hands-on definitely sums up my teaching style! I believe we all learn better by doing. I bring in as many songs, videos and movements as possible!
I was invited by my district to attend the Ron Clark Academy for a three day training!
Bachelors degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Language Arts. I also have my masters in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in Gifted & Talented Education.
I love to travel and try and do it as much as possible (well as much as I can afford)! - I do receive a teacher's salary after all! I am a huge animal lover, in fact I am a proud member of PETA! In my free time (summer break) I love doing art projects! I can't draw but I love to do it anyway! I also love to paint, scrapbook and take pictures! My other favorite pastime is reading.
