Welcome to Funny First Grade! My teaching career began in Kindergarten where I spent three years. Then, for fifteen years I taught First and Second Grade, which I LOVED ... but for as long as I can remember, I've been in love with "words." I had a huge desire to teach writing composition, so I moved to Fifth and Sixth Grade. For twelve years, I enjoyed every minute of teaching English Language Arts! Currently, I am a University Supervisor of student teacher interns. Teaching is such a great calling, I wouldn't want to spend my life any other way!
Engaging the kiddos with fun, hands-on learning activities is - by far - my preferred style of teaching!
