TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught at the high school level for 18 years. Currently I am teaching AP Human Geography and Sociology, though over the years I have also taught US History and World History.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I do not teach from the textbook. So much of my information and lessons are from my own research. I enjoy the most classroom discussions, debates, and student projects.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have received district awards for teaching and for a student volunteer club that I ran through the school.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from the University of Illlinois and a masters degree from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville.
