TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught 5th grade for 8 years at a Title I school, and I love it! I have experience with being self-contained, as well as departmentalized. I have also been a Reading Interventionist for students in Grades 3-5, using the Fountas and Pinnell Leveled Literacy Intervention (LLI). In addition, I spent several years teaching in our after-school and summer programs and coached our FIRST Lego League Team.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I feel it is important to balance rigor and high-expectations with FUN classroom activities. I try to present all important content in small-groups, through the use of technology, or project-based inquiries.
