TEACHING EXPERIENCE

26 years and counting! I have been teaching at the same school for 26 years. For the most part I have been teaching physics and chemistry. I have also taught integrated science, earth science and physical science. I even taught Algebra one year back in the dark ages. A lot of teachers post here on TPT. What makes mine different? I know they work. I teach at a very urban school with all of the associated problems. As a whole, the schools test scores are fair to mediocre. However, my students perform using my assignments on the California State Tests. Last year (2012), I had a nearly 60% of my students score proficient or advanced. That is nearly triple that of similar schools. In Physics I had nearly 80% testing at proficient or above. Just so we can relate, my school tests at below 20% proficient and above in English and Math. I have the data that supports my efforts and assignments. Also, if there is something in particular you are looking for I probably have it. Contact me and I will do the best I can to meet your needs.
