Currently I am a Professional Development Specialist. I specialize in instructional strategies that connect kids with content. I taught middle school and high school science while my journey was in the classroom and then was able to be a part of an NSF grant that was renewed 3x to only 4 spots in the nation (our collaborative being 1/4). Now I am honored to find the best instructional resources available and bring them to our students in our urban/multicultural area through their teachers.
I teach safely, cooperatively and oh so multiple intelligently.

Locally born and bred here in El Paso, TX, I did a stint in College Station, TX where I became a Texas Aggie. My major was Biomedical Science. After not getting in to vet school (numerous tries), I came home and began substitute teaching. My parents were both educators so I knew that wasn't what I was going to be, BUT, (a big butt)the District took notice of my background and I fell in love with helping middle schoolers fall in love with science. Got my Masters in eLearning online because I know that is the future of staying a life long learner at any age. Haven't stopped trying to figure out how to get every student connected to learning.
The best thing I ever did was become Johnnie Marie's Momma. I lost her 4/24/10 in a hit/run accident only 2 weeks before her high school graduation, #2 in her class. Everything I do/have done is in her honor and thanks to Our Heavenly Father.
