TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught for the past eight years. I spent the first five years of my career teaching Life Science and Health at a middle school in South Central Los Angeles, where I was also the GATE Coordinator. I then moved to Orange County where I began teaching Biology at the high school level. I have taught a wide range of learners, including ELL, Special Education and Gifted students.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe that students should experience science rather than being told about it. I employ the 3E (Engage, Explore, Explain) model in my lessons to encourage students to observe, ask questions, and think critically about the content. My lessons foster collaboration and communication among students as they discover concepts together.
