I am in my 19th year of teaching. I currently teach 3rd grade inclusion in a rural school in central Georgia. My experience ranges from Pre-K through 3rd grade. Not only have I been a classroom teacher, but I have also spent several years as an Early Intervention Specialist for 1st and 2nd grades Reading and Math.
I love to have fun with my students! I believe that kids learn best when they are up and moving around.
While I haven't won any "official" honors or awards, I know that a piece of paper is not what really matters. The look in my kids' eyes as they learn a new concept, and the hugs that I get years later from former students are what really matters in the grand scheme of things.
I received my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Mercer University and Masters degree with Specialist in Reading from The State University of West Georgia.
I have been happily married to a very loving and patient man for over twenty years. We have 4 children ranging from 10 years old to 18 years old. Our life is full and busy, but we love every minute of it!
