TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a first year English teacher working in an urban school district. While I may be in my first year of teaching, I am fairly tech savvy and create worksheets that are both content rich while being organized and aesthetically inviting. I teach freshman English and cater to a large population of students who are coming from low income homes or are still in the midst of learning English as a second language.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in students exploring literature at a pace and with a fresh and new perspective. While I provide my own guidelines for specific assessments and assignments, I encourage students to input their own thoughts, reactions, and questions into everything we read.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Dean's list each semester during my undergraduate studies.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Graduate of Bridgewater State University with a double major in English and Secondary Education.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I love dogs, coffee, and sleep (when I can get it!).

Teachers Pay Teachers is an online marketplace where teachers buy and sell original educational materials.
