TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Besides teaching 4th, 5th, and 7th grade English, I became an instructional coach which gave me the ability to write curriculum and model best practice strategies for my peers. This led to becoming a principal where I had the privilege of inspiring sixty staff members to develop a mindset that teaching to the top group with challenging, mind inspiring comprehension reading strategies would elevate all students. By differentiating comprehension from top down strategies, resulting reading testing scores were phenomenal.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Make it fun; make it challenging for all students: Teach to the top and then differentiate for the students who are still at the knowledge/comprehension level of learning.
