I have a M.S. Degree in Education with an endorsement in Early Childhood. My experiences include: multiple years of teaching at various grades, mainly at the elementary level; extensive background in Bilingual Education, including teaching at an all bilingual school. In addition, I am certified in Early Childhood SPED, with work in SPED grades 7-12, and hold teaching certificates in two states. Recently, my focus as been aimed towards the ProjectREADERS initiative (http://r2ed.unl.edu/ProjectREADERS/index.php).
I am committed to student success and a love for learning with a supportive and caring attitude toward students. When teaching, I use a variety of student engagement activities that are student-centered and hands on. I love to incorporate Marzano and Anita Archer teaching techniques/activities in my daily instruction.

I am married to my wonderful husband, who is an educator as well . We have 2 beautiful children who have also chosen careers in Education.
