I have years of experience with teaching both large and small groups of students. My teaching background consists of teaching grades 9 to 12 at a large high school, substitute teaching for several diverse school districts with grades K to 12, and tutoring one on one in teen group homes with grades 6-12.
I'm compassionate. I understand and remember what it is like to be a student. In a letter of recommendation, one of my colleagues explained, "She is friendly but authoritative. She adapts classroom climate needs for different classes as well as for individuals, when needed. Students positively respond to her as a teacher. She expects students to be on task at all times and to participate in discussions, activities, projects and assignments."

I enjoy many non-teaching activities that are the perfect remedy for taking my mind off the many stresses that go with the title of "teacher." Coincidentally, many of these activities relate back to the classroom since my ultimate goal is to "change the world one desk at a time." It's always with you.
