TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Gina is a first grade teacher at an elementary school for the arts. She has also taught after school science programs, English intensive preschool, student taught in K-3 autistic support, student taught in Grade 4, and had many other short teaching experiences in various special and elementary classrooms. She has a master's degree in special education and is pursuing an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Gina prefers a very hand-on, engaging teaching style with many opportunities for both individualized and full group instruction. She believes in the principles of differentiation, but finds it more important to meet students where they are as a social group and attending to the overall socio-cultural well-being of the classroom society. In this way, she finds that students receive both individualized and socially supported instruction that is conducive to the education of the whole-child.
